Our PTA is already working on securing a new date, and we will share the rescheduled time as soon as it is confirmed.
Thank you for your understanding, and stay safe!

Today, we kicked off our Kids Heart Challenge fundraiser during specials! Mrs. Poole, a representative from the American Heart Association, visited Churchville to share the importance of supporting children born with heart conditions and how our school community can help make a difference.
Students received an informational paper with a QR code to scan in order to get started. This year, our fundraising goal is $19,500. Last year marked our most successful year yet, with just over $19,000 raised.
Let’s do this, Chargers!

🔔 Bell Ringers Shout-Out! 🔔
✨ Every student recognized today made significant growth and/or reached their end-of-year reading goal already! ✨
*Kennedy got to ring the bell because she had wonderful writing stamina. She explained with detail all the things she could teach the class about using their cubbies! Her penmanship was incredible and she used her resources to spell tricky words 🙂
*Congratulations to Ford for his amazing accomplishment. Ford showed tremendous growth on his mid-yearDIBELS assessment. Way to go, Ford! 🔔
*We are so proud of Mrs. Spencer’s 4th graders for their amazing work on the Mid-Year i-Ready Reading Assessment! These Bell Ringers showed what happens when hard work, focus, and perseverance come together.
M&M's: Owen, River, Noah, Laila, Levi, Kordell, Teddy, Clinton, Violet, Logan, Colin, Nathan.
Reeses': Harper A, Cora, Hailey, Cannon, Alexis, Ethan, Devin, Jackson, Ryleigh, Maya, Amelia, Rowyn, Gradyen, Alex
Special shout-out to Owen, Colin, Devin, and Teddy who achieved 300% or more growth from the beginning of the year — what an incredible accomplishment! 🌟
Way to go, Chargers! Keep ringing that bell and rising higher — Tied Together, we RISE! 💚💛📚🔔

Get ready for an evening filled with music, fun, friends, and unforgettable memories. We can’t wait to celebrate together! 💙

🎉Bell Ringer! 🎉
Yesterday we celebrated an incredible achievement! Christian completed the Maze subtest on DIBELS with 22 correct responses and zero errors — and according to our Reading Specialist, “That is the best I have ever seen anyone do on this subtest.”
To put that in perspective, the goal at this point in the year was 12, and Christian nearly doubled it. His hard work, focus, and persistence truly paid off. This kind of performance is not only impressive — it’s absolutely bell‑worthy! 🔔✨
We are so proud of you, Christian. Keep shining and keep believing in what you can do. 💙📚

In an effort to bring attention to our overall attendance, CVES will begin posting weekly attendance data. Attendance is not only essential for our students’ growth and learning—it also plays a key role in determining our school’s overall performance on the Maryland Report Card, which is published each year. Let’s work together to ensure our students are present, engaged, and ready to succeed!

Welcome aboard, Mrs. Lewis!

Today, it was Layla’s turn to shine:
"We are so proud of Layla Lumaro. She grew 77 points on the Reading i-Ready. Way to go, Layla!" — Mrs. Michocki
This simple act of ringing the bell reminds us that hard work and growth deserve recognition. It’s a joyful sound that says, “You did it!”

Last Friday was such a sweet success! A huge THANK YOU to our amazing PTA for sponsoring and preparing this wonderful tradition. Your hard work made the day magical for our students and families.
We loved seeing everyone come together to decorate, laugh, and celebrate the holiday spirit. ❤️ Thank you to all the families who joined in and helped make Gingerbread Day so special!
