Edgewood High School is proud to announce that the International Baccalaureate (IB) Class of 2025 has earned a record-breaking $21,592,835 in college scholarship offers—the highest total ever achieved by an IB graduating class at the school. With 46 students completing the rigorous IB Diploma Programme, this year’s class averaged more than $469,000 in scholarship offers per student.

The IB graduates were recognized during a special ceremony on May 22, 2025, and received their high school diplomas at the Edgewood High School graduation on May 23, 2025.

The IB Diploma Programme at Edgewood High School is an internationally respected academic track that prepares students for success in higher education and beyond. It includes studies across six subject areas, a Theory of Knowledge course, a 4,000-word Extended Essay, and a focus on creativity, activity, and service. Since receiving full IB authorization in 2010, Edgewood’s program has consistently produced well-rounded, academically driven students who are prepared for global citizenship and college-level coursework.

This year’s graduates were accepted to colleges and universities across the country and around the world, receiving scholarship offers from schools including the University of Maryland, Loyola University Maryland, Auburn University, the University of Delaware, the University of Pittsburgh, Berklee College of Music, Temple University, Rice University, and the United States Merchant Marine Academy.

Notable awards include the Banneker-Key Scholarship, the Sellinger Scholars Program, the Academic Excellence Scholarship, and full-ride offers from multiple universities. Students from this class plan to pursue fields such as business, communications, mathematics, public policy, science, and the arts.

The Class of 2025 continues to raise the bar for academic achievement and personal growth at Edgewood High School, leaving a legacy of excellence that will inspire future students for years to come.
