Riverside Elementary Community School kindergarten teachers recently received a donation of classroom libraries thanks to a partnership with Freedom Federal Credit Union.

The effort was coordinated through the Harford County Public Schools Early Childhood Office, Family and Community Partnerships, and the Reading English Language Arts Office, which worked alongside Freedom Federal to secure the donation and identify the teachers who would benefit from the resources.

Under the leadership of Principal Marc Hamilton, the new libraries will support early literacy instruction by giving students access to books that reflect their diverse interests and backgrounds. Classroom libraries play an important role in early education, providing students with daily opportunities to explore stories, build vocabulary, and develop foundational reading skills.

Thank you to Freedom Federal Credit Union for this generous investment in Riverside's youngest learners!
